Customers Reaching Out
The Hands to Paws Program through Pet Expectations
Many of you don't know this but Pet Expectations wasn't always retail based. It originally started out as a business that would educate owners to make a plan for their pets in the event of an emergency. It was a tough idea to sell. Most people don't want to think about the end of their lives so I ended up following the money trail and ended up in retail. I still felt positive about the fact that I was selling pet tags and keeping the prices low so that customers could afford to keep current information on their pets allowing them to get their pets home safe.
My original goal has always been in the background, mostly because I like most of my customers have a great deal of animals as family. Knowing that very few people would want any or all of mine, I just want to know that someone would step up and find homes for them. So many people are fearful of having pets as they get older because they are concerned about what would happen to the pets.
What if instead of just one person trying to manage this if customers like yourself were willing to help? My theory has always been where there is a story, there is someone who will fit that story. By the time a pet ends up in a shelter many don't even know the background anymore of the pet. If people could know the story of the pet and we could have customers willing to reach out wouldn't that be an awesome event!
