Growing up with My Pets

Animals have been a part of my life from an early age.  This photo is of my brother (Scott) and I with our dog Mac Dougal, a Scottish Terrier.

This photo shows me with Skippy who belonged to close friends of my family.  My parents tell me from the day I was born I showed a natural love of all animals

Throughout my life, no matter what I’m doing or where I’ve been, animals have kept me company.  The Siamese cat at the foot of the bed is Meetoo, her son Mugsy is sleeping closest to me.

This photo shows me with Gerb in my backyard.  It was a constant amazement to my family that I could be outside with them and they would always stay close to me, they would even come to me when I called them.

Tigger another Siamese came to us from a family who was allergic to him.  This is a photo of him sitting on my lap soon after he arrived to live with us.

This is a photo of my mom, dad, my brother and I.  I’m holding Meetoo, my mom is holding Tigger.  Holiday photos always included pets.

From a very early age I had a fascination with horses.  This is a photograph of me with an appaloosa that I took private lessons on when I was a teenager.  The lessons allowed me to learn how to care for the horse as well learning to ride.

Muffy came into our lives when I was in my early teens.  This is a photograph of me with Muffy.  She thought her quest in life was to chase our cats.

My grandparents also had Siamese cats.  This is Kimo, he was Meetoo’s other son.  I loved getting to see him when I visited.  He reminded me so much of his mother.
