Hi Jill,
I remember telling you that my little guy could make hash of the toughest toy in very little time. You said "you're on". I'm not sure how long we've had this toy, but that little innocent looking dog has had his way with it. It's still intact and I can tell it will be around for some time. I will continue to order these toys because they are tough and both of my guys just loooooove them!

Meet Bodhran - Learn why these toys are not Bodhran proof.....
Well there has to be one in every crowd and Bodhran Mutascio has turned out to be that one. I suppose when you let the pup drive home from buying him you may be letting him think he's bigger than he is? Now at 9 months old he's obviously too much for the Tuff Enuff dog toys. Here he is sticking his tongue out at us and my original description of how well they'd hold up to dogs that are rough on toys. But let me back up a bit. After learning that he destroyed the Tuff Enuff toys in 2 hours, I got with his owner and decided to get some background on this dog because my dogs are extremely rough on toys and my toys are still intact with all squeakers working.
Here's a list of destruction by Bodhran:
1. Twice removing and losing ID tags from the metal jump ring portion attached to Tag Its, without removing the Tag It itself! This was accomplished in a split second.
2 Ate 3 DEEP and large holes in the outside deck floor boards
3. Gnawed a 1 inch by 6 inch hole in a cement floor in kitchen in one attempt
4, Destroyed a heavy-duty nautical 3 ft long rope with huge knots at each end
5. Chewed through the chest piece of his Easy Walk harness WHILE WEARING IT in 3 seconds flat.
6. Bitten in half a variety of collars and leashes while wearing them, in literally seconds, fortunately some of which were Lupine who replaced them!
7. Demolition of a dozen "specialty" extra durable dog toys, and countless other squeaker toys.
Considering how quickly he went through some of the above items Kudos to the Tuff Enuff toys!
If you have a Bodhran that you already know has tendancies such as these, this toy probably isn't for you. If however you have a dog that destuffs and defluffs things, give one a try and see how it goes.
I still stand by these toys wholeheartedly! I have a border collie and he is a chewer, he still hasn't made it through the edge of this toy. He has destroyed blankets, towels, pillows, softer items around the house nothing to the extent of Bodhran.
I suggested to Bodhran's owner to try Zogoflex by West Paw Design as an alternative toy to see if it might be a better fit. This is the feedback I received from his owner:
******************Jill, the ZOGOFLEX toy is just awesome!! Bodhran absolutely loves it, and OMG, CAN'T destroy it!!!!!! I am ecstatic!!!! It came in the mail yesterday, and he has played with it for hours and hours since, and it still looks like it did when it arrived! Thank you so much for suggesting and sending the perfect solution. As I mentioned, we will be traveling with both pups for 2 weeks, and worried about staying in other folks' homes as well as hotels, wondering just what Bodhran might eat next! Now we can take the Zogoflex for his entertainment! Piper likes it too, and they have even played tug. It is a great shape for activity. I didn't even have to stuff it with peanut butter to keep his interest!
If you'd like to check out the Zogoflex products as an alternative to the Tuff Enuff toys, because you have a "Bodhran" living at your home.... follow this link!
